Hon. Mwanamvekha MP, thanked the UK Government for the support rendered to the Government of Malawi in areas of humanitarian food assistance, health, education and technical assistance in debt restructuring.
Despite declining Official Development Assistance , the UK remains committed to supporting the Government of Malawi through investments in mining,energy health, education sectors,climate financing, and Capacity enhancement programs under the fiscal decentralisation agenda
The High Commissioner applauded Malawi Government for the implementation of austerity measures that are aimed at restoring macro- economic stability. Her Excellency Stubblefield urged Government to continue on that path to garner and build confidence with all the Cooperating Partners.
